The Accounting Department provides various financial and technical services to the county and school division. These services include:

  • Establishing policies to provide controls over assets and transaction processing
  • Maintenance, access and reporting capabilities for administrative systems including: 
    • Budgetary control
    • General ledger
    • Human resources
    • Payroll
    • Purchasing
  • Accounts payable processing
  • Preparation of audited financial statements as part of the county’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
  • Requisitioning bond proceeds held with trustees as well as post-issuance compliance for tax-exempt bonds issued to fund county and school division projects
