Chesterfield County is part of the Richmond-Petersburg MSA. The county is bounded by the cities of Richmond, Petersburg, Hopewell and Colonial Heights.

Situated between the James and Appomattox Rivers, Chesterfield’s land area totals 279,680 acres, or 437 square miles. It consists of a pleasant mix of suburban communities, neighborhoods and villages.

If you want to get get away, Chesterfield is within a two-hour drive of Virginia’s beaches. Shenandoah National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway are only 2 hours to the west. Washington, D.C. is only 100 miles to the north.
