Appomattox River Water Authority

Purpose

Appomattox River Water Authority operates Lake Chesdin, the largest of the County's water supply sources. In addition to Chesterfield, its other members are Colonial Heights, Petersburg, Dinwiddie and Prince George.

Membership

• Number of Members:  Two
• Comments: Terms are traditionally for four years, but in order to finalize the operational merger with South Central Wastewater Authority, this term will expire on November 20, 2009. Traditionally, the County Administrator has served as the County's representative, but the Board may appoint any citizen or employee of the County whom it chooses.
