About OCRA

The Circuit Court Clerk makes case file images available off-site by subscription service through a secure system called Officer of the Court Remote Access (OCRA). Pursuant to Virginia law, OCRA is available to

  • members in good standing with the Virginia State Bar and their authorized agents.
  • pro hac vice attorneys authorized by the court for purposes of the practice of law.
  • Complimentary access is also provided to governmental entities with an ongoing business need for court case information.

OCRA contains non-confidential civil and criminal case images filed/received in the Chesterfield Circuit Court Clerk’s Office from December 2015 forward.

How to Subscribe

NOTE: Please do not transmit credit card information by mail or email. If intending to pay by credit card, include a note to that effect and the Clerk’s Office will call you to obtain payment information.

Renewing OCRA Access

The standard OCRA subscription term is one year and is renewable in one year increments.

Government Users:

Attorneys/Law Firms:

  • One week prior to OCRA account expiration, submit a completed OCRA Renewal Application (PDF) and payment* to:

*Subscription fee = $100 per user, per year. Payment Types Accepted
