Families First Announces Its Graduates

Mental Health Support Services

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA — Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Families First, a program of Chesterfield County’s Department of Mental Health Support Services, held a graduation ceremony on Thursday, Aug. 21, at Bensley Community Center to celebrate the accomplishments of its 10 graduates:

  • Karla Halla and Mario Hoil and their son, Joshua
  • Sandra Delcid and her daughter, Jessica
  • Autumn Hardison and her son, Gabriel
  • Tiera Mosby and her son, Darrien
  • Vanessa Santos and Daniel Ramirez and their son, Christian
  • Nancy Torres and her daughter, Ayerim
  • Norma Claros and Armando Echeverria and their son, Owen
  • Erica Fleenor and her daughter, Melody
  • Sandra Martinez and Fernando Longinos and their daughter, Karen
  • Elizabeth Garcia and Oscar Santos and their daughter, Stephanie

The program provides first-time parents with information, videos, and activities about childbirth preparation, child health and development, parenting and parent-child interaction, and local resources, such as lists of pediatricians, childcare providers, and other services. All mothers enrolled in the program prenatally.

Families First is a nationally accredited program of Healthy Families America.
