CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police arrested a man who is accused of exposing himself and attempting to abduct a 10-year-old girl at knifepoint in a Food Lion bathroom at 8201 Hull Street Road at about 6 p.m. on Nov. 30.

Police said Rolando M. Rodriguez, 26, of the 3000 block of Freedom Lane, followed the child into the women's bathroom, displayed a pocket knife and then exposed himself. The suspect attempted to detain the girl who escaped and summoned a parent who was shopping in a nearby aisle. Officers responded to the store and took Rodriguez into custody.

Rodriguez is charged with abduction, indecent exposure and attempted malicious wounding. He is being held without bond in the Chesterfield County Jail pending a 2 p.m. hearing today in the Chesterfield County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.
