Chesterfield County Police Department

Volunteer Opportunities

The Chesterfield County Police Department has a strong partnership with our community and our volunteers. Volunteerism makes a tremendous impact upon Chesterfield County and America and volunteers are a valued commodity within our police department.

Men and women devote their skills and time to groups such as Crime Solvers, Police Chaplains, Law Enforcement Explorers, Auxiliary Police, Motorist Assistance Team, and the Chesterfield County Police Foundation. Volunteers are also needed to conduct research, provide clerical support to police and detectives, and dedicate time as interns, interpreters, escorts and couriers.

Learn how you may become a volunteer with the Chesterfield County Police Department, please contact Carole Maxwell, volunteer coordinator at (804) 318-8695 or e-mail Maxwellc@chesterfield.gov. All potential volunteers must undergo some type of background investigation before beginning a volunteer assignment due to the sensitive nature of law enforcement.
