Our Mission, Vision and Goals

Our Vision:

. . . to continue to provide the quality service to the community as a nationally recognized leader among law enforcement agencies, utilizing state-of the art information and policing technologies, attracting and maintaining professional employees, consistently improving our quality of training, and demonstrating innovation and operational flexibility.

Our Mission:

. . . provide a professional and unbiased response to the needs of the community. It is the department's goal to establish a partnership with the citizens in achieving a “ First Choice Community through excellence in public service .”

Chesterfield County Strategic Goals:

"To be the safest and most secure community of its size in the USA".

Goal 1:	To establish, maintain and enhance community partnerships that help ensure a safe community
Goal 2:	Maximize operational efficiency and deliver excellence in customer service
Goal 3:	To increase the proportion of crimes cleared by arrest
Goal 4:	Reduce and control criminal activity
Goal 5:	Provide effective policing and ensure continued public safety
Goal 6:	Educate citizens of all ages about crime awareness and crime prevention
Goal 7:	Maintain average response time of three minutes for Priority 1 calls
