Chesterfield Police 2003 Annual ReportCitizen InvolvementThe department is fortunate to have a strong partnership with our community and our volunteers. Volunteerism makes a tremendous impact upon Chesterfield County and America. Volunteers are a valued commodity within the Chesterfield County Police Department. In 2003 they contributed more than 26,000 hours of their time. More than 120 men and women devote their skills and time to groups such as Crime Solvers, Chaplains, Law Enforcement Explorers, Special Police, Motorist Assistance and the Police Foundation. Volunteers also conduct research and provide clerical support to police and detectives in areas such as Forensics, Crimes Against Property and Police Training.
