12-18-14 SAFE Latino Coalition partners with Businesses for Alcohol-Free Zone Project
The SAFE Central Virginia Latino Coalition, or SAFE Latino Coalition, launched its Alcohol-Free Zone Project on Dec. 8 at a local business in the Falling Creek area. Jay Admin is the first local business owner to partner with the group in an effort to decrease public alcohol consumption at off-premise retail outlets, and to aid in warning and educating customers about the law. The project is also designed to enhance positive relationships between off-premise retail outlet owners, law enforcement and the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

Police are searching for a man who robbed the 7-Eleven at 6501 Iron Bridge Road at about 12:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12. No one was injured during the incident.
