Ettrick Park & Mayes-Colbert Ettrick Community Building
General Information
The Mayes-Colbert Ettrick Community Building was dedicated on November
3, 1995. The first community building of its kind for Chesterfield County,
its 5,000 square feet offers a warming kitchen, arts-and-crafts room,
game room, multipurpose room and a small conference room.
A wide variety of programs and seasonal special events are offered for tots,
youth, adults and senior adults.
The building, available for rent on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
(tables and chairs available at no cost.) Groups renting the building
are required to follow all building rules. Ettrick Community Building
staff will be present at all rentals to set up and take down the rooms.

Make checks payable to: Treasurer of Chesterfield County.
Payment due date: Payment must be received at least three weeks
prior to date of rental.
Mail reservation forms/payment to: Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation
Department, P.O. Box 40, Chesterfield, Va. 23832.
Drop off reservation forms/payment at: Ettrick Community Building,
20400 Laurel Road, Ettrick, or Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation
Department, 6801 Mimms Loop, Chesterfield.

Rental Procedure
- NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED INSIDE OR OUTSIDE
- The person making a request to rent the building must first inquire
if the building is available at the time needed. If available, the
staff person will pencil the request in the reservation book.
- Information and rental application are available at the building,
or can be mailed upon request.
- The "Facility Rental and User Group" application form must
be completed and returned to Ettrick Community Building, or mailed
to Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation.
- A rental request can be held for up to three weeks without payment.
If payment in full is not received within three weeks of making the
request, the request will be removed from reservation book.
- All groups or individuals interested in renting the Ettrick Community
Building are encouraged to come by or view the building before requesting
a date.
- A special event permit may be required.
- Refunds will be granted up until one week before the reservation date. All refund requests must be received in writing to the previously stated address. Refunds will take approximately two weeks to process.

Directions
From Richmond, take I-95 south to Exit 54 (Temple Avenue).
Turn left at stoplight onto Temple Avenue. At second stoplight, turn
left onto Route 1/301 (Jefferson Davis Highway). Turn right at approximately
four stoplights onto Dupuy Avenue. Follow Dupuy Avenue to Dupuy Road
which will be on the right (Dupuy Road veers to the right at the Liberty
gas station). Take Dupuy Road to Laurel Road. Turn left on Laurel Road.
Park entrance is on your right. Park is located across from the Amtrack
Railroad Station.
From Chester, take Iron Bridge Road west to Lewis Road (Shoosmith)
and turn left onto Lewis Road. At the stop sign take a right onto Bradley
Bridge Road, follow to stop sign (corner store on right with Citgo gas
station). Take a left onto Woodpecker Road and continue until you get
to a stop sign (old red church, now a clothing cottage, is on right).
Turn left, staying on Woodpecker Road, follow around a sharp curve. Just
up ahead, Woodpecker Road will veer off to the right. Stay on Woodpecker
Road until you see Dupuy Road on left. Take a left on Dupuy Road then
a right onto Laurel Road. The Ettrick Park entrance is on your right
(located across from the Amtrack Railroad Station.)
