1. ADD A NOTE TO THE UTILITY PLAN STATING:
"THE 4.5 INCH DISCHARGE OF THE FIRE HYDRANT SHALL FACE
IN THE DIRECTION INDICATED BY THE ARROW ON THE PLAN."
2. ADD AN ARROW TO THE FIRE HYDRANT INDICATING WHICH
DIRECTION IT SHALL FACE.
3. THE FOLLOWING NOTE SHALL BE ADDED TO THE GENERAL
NOTES ON PLANS:
"AN APPROVED KEY BOX SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR THE PROPOSED
BUILDING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE,
SECTION 506.1 THE REQUIRED FORMS AND INSTALLATION

"DURING THE CONSTRUCTION OF ANY STRUCTURE OR BUILDING,
PERMANENT FIRE HYDRANTS SHALL BE INSTALLED, PRIOR TO THE
USE OF COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS IN CONSTRUCTION BEING USED
ON ANY FLOOR ABOVE THE FIRST FLOOR OR GROUND FLOOR
LEVEL HYDRANTS SHALL BE FUNCTIONAL FOR FIRE FIGHTING
PURPOSES AND MAINTAINED ACCESSIBLE TO FIRE FIGHTING
APPARATUS AT ALL TIMES. AN APPROVED ALL-WEATHER ROAD
SURFACE SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR ACCESS TO THE FIRE HYDRANTS
DURING CONSTRUCTION." SEE CHESTERFIELD COUNTY CODE
SECTION 106.9
5. THE FOLLOWING SHALL BE ADDED TO THE GENERAL NOTES ON
PLANS FOR BUILDINGS EQUIPPED WITH AN AUTOMATIC FIRE
SPRINKLER SYSTEM AND/OR STANDPIPE SYSTEM: "APPROVAL OF
SITE PLAN DOES NOT INCLUDE THE DESIGN OF THE FIRE
SPRINKLER SYSTEM UNDERGROUND PIPING FROM BACKFLOW
PREVENTION DEVICE TO ONE FOOT ABOVE FINISH FLOOR LEVEL.
PRIOR TO INSTALLATION, SHOP DRAWINGS AND A SEPARATE
PERMIT APPLICATION AND SHALL BE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE
DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING INSPECTIONS FOR REVIEW AND
APPROVAL."
6. SHOW THE NODE MAP AND RESULTS TABLE FOR THE PROPOSED
OR EXISTING HYDRANTS ON SITE SHOWING THE MAXIMUM FIRE
FLOW CAN BE ACHIEVED. WHEN MULTIPLE FIRE HYDRANTS ARE
USED THE COMBINED FLOW MUST BE SIMULTANEOUS.
7. THE APPROXIMATE LOCATION OF ALL REQUIRED FIRE LANE
SIGNS AND CURB / STREET MARKING SHALL BE INDICATED ON
THE PLAN. FIRE LANES THAT ARE BETWEEN TWENTY AND
TWENTY-SIX FEET IN WIDTH SHALL BE POSTED AND MARKED ON
BOTH SIDES OF THE ROADWAY. FIRE LANES IN EXCESS OF
TWENTY-SIX FEET IN WIDTH UP TO THIRTY-TWO FEET IN WIDTH
SHALL BE POSTED AND MARKED ON ONE SIDE OF THE
ROADWAY. THE LOCATION OF AND METHOD OF MARKING FIRE
LANES SHALL BE CLEARLY INDICATED ON THE SUBMITTED SITE
PLAN. ALL FIRE LANE SIGNS SHALL BE DOUBLE FACED AND
INSTALLED PERPENDICULAR TO THE CURB.
8. ON THE UTILITY PLAN, SHOW THE GATE VALVE AND BOX AT THE
END OF THE UTILITY EASEMENT SERVING THE FIRE PROTECTION
UNDERGROUND WITH INTERIOR BACKFLOW PREVENTER.
