LOCATION. THE BETTER LOCATION IS 10 FEET OFF THE GRINDER
PUMP DISCHARGE TO ACT AS A REDUNDANT CHECK TO PREVENT
BACKFLOW. SERVICE VALVES ARE MORE USEFUL ON LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEMS THAN ON GRINDER PUMPS TO GRAVITY SEWER.
12. IT IS RECOMMENDED, BUT NOT REQUIRED, THAT A BRONZE
COMPRESSION "GRIP RING" TYPE FITTING WITH STAINLESS STEEL
STIFFENER BE USED TO JOIN THE PRIVATE HDPE FORCE MAIN.
13. A REDUCED-PRESSURED PRINCIPLE BACKFLOW PREVENTION
DEVICE WILL BE REQUIRED ON THE CUSTOMER SIDE OF THE WATER
