The mission of the Chesterfield County Emergency Management Division is to protect the county citizens, visitors and its environment by coordinating and integrating all activities necessary to build, sustain, and improve the capability to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from threatened or actual natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other man-made disasters.

Cadet Safety Camp is a collaborative effort between Chesterfield Emergency Management, Chesterfield Fire & EMS, Chesterfield Police Department, Chesterfield Emergency Communications, and the Chesterfield Sheriff’s Office. Our mission is to provide a safe and fun learning environment that enhances leadership skills based on respect, responsibility and teamwork.
Target Audience: Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts who are rising 7th & 8th graders for the 2013/2014 school year (Maximum age 13)

- Search and Rescue Exercise
- Emergency Preparedness
- Police
- 911 (tour the Emergency Communications Center)
- Basic First Aid
- Team Building
Check-in time: 7:30 - 8 a.m., Pick up time: 4:30 – 5 p.m., Lunch and snacks will be provided both days. Cost: $25. Open to the first 50 participants to register. Payment must be received to hold a spot.
Deadline for registration is June 9.
