Chesterfield Council on Aging

The Chesterfield Council on Aging meets on the 4th Thursday of the month from 9 – 10:30 a.m. The group meets in the multi-purpose room at Lucy Corr Village, 6800 Lucy Corr Boulevard, Chesterfield. All meetings are open to the public.

The Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors established a Long Term Care Coordinating Committee in 1983 in response to Senate Bill 219 passed by the Virginia General Assembly. The mission of the committee was to support the development of community based resources and to avoid the inappropriate institutionalization of impaired elderly and disabled adults. In 1987, this committee was expanded to encompass the Long-Term Care Council. Since that time the Council has been very active. It has received both State and National recognition. In August 2004, the Council changed its name to Chesterfield Council on Aging.
