Empowering Neighborhoods Forum

2016 Empowering Neighborhoods Forum

The 2016 Empowering Neighborhoods Forum was held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Thomas R. Fulgham Conference Center. The theme of the Forum was revitalizing Chesterfield County by improving homes and neighborhoods. A wide variety of workshops, activities, vendors, and information resources were provided to help residents and community leaders revitalize their own communities. At the Forum, the Sustain Our Communities Committee (SOCC) announced that it had changed its name to the Revitalize Our Community Committee (ROCC).This new name reflects the ROCC’s commitment to county revitalization.

The ROCC also held an awards ceremony celebrating and recognizing the accomplishments of volunteers and organizations from across the county who work tirelessly to enhance the quality of life in their communities. The following nominees were selected winners:

  • Volunteer of the Year – Kathleen Donovan
  • Organization of the Year – Guardians

We would like to thank all participants, award nominees, exhibitors, businesses, Fulgham Center staff, and Chesterfield County departments who helped make this an outstanding event.
