The purpose of this report is to present statistics relating to the status of youths and families in Chesterfield County. It is designed to highlight the status of children and families in Chesterfield County for greater community awareness and help identify trends. Charts are included with the data to give a quick visual perception of the trends.

Many of the indicators in this report follow the Communities That Care model for assessing risk in

  • family
  • school environments

Both the private and public sectors are encouraged to use this information to

  • help determine priorities for action
  • develop programs that prevent or reduce unwanted outcomes for Chesterfield County children and youths.
