Voter Registration and Elections


Official Notice

General and Special Elections will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017
Polls will be open 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.
 

The following offices are on the ballot                                       

  • Governor
  • Lieutenant Governor                         
  • Attorney General
  • House of Delegates – 27th, 62nd, 63rd, 65th, 66th, 68th, 69th, 70th Districts
  • Commissioner of Revenue (Special Election to fill unexpired term)
  • Treasurer (Special Election to fill unexpired term)

September 22, 2017 - November 4, 2017 - 5 p.m.
In-Person & By Mail Absentee Voting Begins

    NOTE: In-person absentee voting will be available at the Registrar’s Office. All mailed absentee ballots must be received in the Registrar’s Office before 7 p.m. on Election Day, November 7, 2017.

October 3, 2017 - November 2, 2017  – 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.,
Tuesdays and Thursdays - Extended Absentee Voting Hours 

October 16, 2017 - 5 p.m.
Final Day for Voter Registration

October 31, 2017 - 5 p.m.
Last day to submit an Absentee Ballot Application by mail, fax, or email

    NOTE: Postmarked absentee ballot applications are not accepted

November 4, 2017 - 5 p.m.
Last day to Vote In-Person Absentee 

November 7, 2017 - 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.
 
Gubernatorial Election

The Electoral Board will meet in the Office of the General Registrar on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at 9:30AM for the canvass of the election.
