  Who is eligible for services at the Center of Risk Reduction (CORR)? 

The Center of Risk Reduction is a sentencing alternative for the 12th Judicial District that serves offenders facing at least three months in jail that could be served with appropriate treatment interventions in the community while under supervision. Additional requirements include no prior record of violence or present offense of violence as defined by the Criminal Code of Virginia such as arson, felony sex offenses, or drug distribution.

What is the duration of services offered to clients at the Center of Risk Reduction?  

Services at CORR are self-paced.  It takes a minimum of four months to complete the core curriculum.

What services are provided at CORR?  

Services include intensive supervision, outpatient substance abuse therapy, individual/family counseling, frequent drug screening, community service monitoring, job skill training, and Moral Reconation Therapy.

How does an individual receive services from CORR?  

All clients are referred to CORR from the court, probation, or self as a sentencing alternative.
