If you have received a citation for your county vehicle registration

/uploadedImages/Department_Information/Management_Services/License_Inspector/Media/Images/Citation.jpgYour vehicle has been observed in violation of county code section 13.60 which requires that all vehicles housed parked or garaged in the county obtain a valid county registration. Please be aware, the county registration is not a state registration, and is not associated with your state license plates.  See a detailed description of the registration

To comply with the citation you must obtain a Chesterfield County Vehicle Registration from the Treasurer of Chesterfield County. Payment of all personal property taxes, assessed or assessable may be required before a county vehicle registration can be obtained.  See more information about complying with a citation.

Should you fail to obtain the registration within five business days, a summons for the vehicle’s owner to appear in General District Court may be issued.
