Chesterfield County is part of the Richmond-Petersburg metropolitan area and is bounded by the cities of Richmond, Petersburg, Hopewell, and Colonial Heights. Chesterfield has an approximate population of 318,000 with over 205,000 registered voters.

The Election Canvass is to be held at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in the Office of the General Registrar, 9848 Lori Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832.
2009 Chesterfield County Voter Information
As the county gets ready for the 2009 elections, the General Registrar’s Office reminds residents about important dates related to voting.
- The final day to vote absentee in person for the November election is Saturday, Oct. 31. Office hours are 9 AM – 5 PM.
- Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. The polls will be open 6 a.m.-7 p.m.

Our Location
The Registrar’s Office is located at 9848 Lori Road in Court Square 
From the intersection of Ironbridge Road (Route 10) and Lori Road:
- Turn onto Lori Road (Lori Road is the extension of Beach Road)
- Immediately get into a left turn lane
- Turn left at the Absentee Voting and Voter Registration signs (service road)
- This office is the last building on the right; there is a green canopy over the front door.
