Infant Program

What is the Chesterfield Infant Program?
The Chesterfield Infant program provides early intervention supports and services to infants and toddlers from birth through age three who are not developing as expected or who have a medical condition that delays normal development. Early intervention supports and services focus on increasing the child's participation in family and community activities. In addition, supports and services teach parents and caregivers how to find ways to help the child learn during routine activities.

What services are provided by Chesterfield Infant Program?
The Chesterfield Infant Program provides intake, eligibility determination and assessment for early intervention services. If your child is eligible for early intervention services, the Chesterfield Infant Program will coordinate the services you need to include developmental services, speech therapy, occupational therapy or physical therapy.

Who can use the Chesterfield Infant Services?
These services are available to families in Chesterfield County who have children between birth and three years old who are not developing in a typical manner.

How do I access services?
To start the process, contact 804-768-7205 and ask to speak with the intake coordinator.
