Chesterfield Community Services Board (CSB) is one of forty Boards in Virginia that offer a comprehensive array of services in mental health, intellectual disabilities, substance abuse, prevention, and early intervention. The Chesterfield CSB serves as an Administrative-Policy Board for the Chesterfield Department of Mental Health Support Services. Members are appointed by the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors with statutory fiduciary and management authority and responsibilities. (Code of Virginia §37.2-100)
The Chesterfield CSB Board has 15 members who are appointed for a three-year term and can serve up to three consecutive terms. The Board has a representative from each of the five magisterial districts and ten members-at-large. Members come from all walks of life and have diverse experiences and expertise. One third of the appointments to the Board must be consumers of services or family members of consumers.

The CSB meets on the third Thursday of each month, except August, at 7 p.m. in the Board Room in the Rogers Building located at 6801 Lucy Corr Boulevard. These meetings are open to the public.
