Bermuda District  

 Robert Innes   

Robert C. Innes was appointed to the committee in January 2012 and reappointed in January 2016 by the Hon. Dorothy A. Jaeckle. Mr. Innes holds degrees in journalism and public affairs, as well as an MBA. He is currently employed as the director of communication and community relations with Columbia Gas of Virginia. He also serves on the Chesterfield Communities in Schools Board and the Chesterfield Education Foundation Board.

 Committee on the Future - Richard Jacobs 

Richard M. Jacobs was appointed to the committee in March 2008 by the Hon. Dorothy A. Jaeckle. Mr. Jacobs, a CPA with an MBA, is a Senior Tax Manager with Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP. He is a former controller and chief financial officer for several Richmond area manufacturing firms and continues to serve with other community associations. He is a past chair of the Chesterfield County Citizen Budget Advisory Committee.

Clover Hill District 

 Sandra P. Pettengill 

Sandra P. Pettengill was appointed to the committee in May 2012 by the Hon. Arthur S. Warren and reappointed in January 2016 by the Hon. Christopher Winslow. Ms. Pettengill retired from SunTrust Bank as Vice President in the Marketing and Product Development and Management Division. She is actively involved in community issues and politics in Chesterfield County.

 Herbert H. Whay 

Herbert H. “Jay” Whay, Jr. was appointed to the committee in January 2016 by the Hon. Christopher Winslow. Mr. Whay holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, a Master of Liberal Arts Degree and a Master of Public Administration Degree. He is currently a Realtor and is a former law enforcement officer. Mr. Whay is also a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Richmond Association of Realtors.

Dale District  

 Committee on the Future - Thomas Owens 

Thomas B. Owens was appointed in February 2007 by the Hon. Kelly E. Miller and was reappointed in February 2008 and January 2016 by the Hon. James "Jim" Holland. Mr. Owens, now retired, was the public affairs officer at Defense Supply Center Richmond. He is a longtime active resident of Chesterfield County and works for the Virginia House of Delegates during its sessions.

Matoaca District 

 Dr. Will Lewis 

Dr. Will Lewis was appointed to the committee in September 2013 and reappointed in January 2016 by the Hon. Stephen A. Elswick. He is a retired research scientist and is professor of chemistry at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. Dr. Lewis is an active community volunteer and serves as alternate councilor for the Virginia Section of the American Chemical Society. He is an industrial consultant on analytical methodology and serves as a board member for a nonprofit scholarship foundation.

 Aaron Mathes 

Aaron Mathes was appointed to the committee in January 2016 by the Hon. Steve Elswick. Mr. Mathes, director of Consulting Services with CGI, also serves on the board of Liberty University’s School of Engineering and Computational Sciences. Prior to CGI, Mr. Mathes served as Deputy Secretary of Technology for the Commonwealth of Virginia during the McDonnell administration and CIO for the Virginia Office of Attorney General. Additionally, Mr. Mathes has served as a member of the Commonwealth Fellowship since 2007 and is an active member of Parkway Baptist Church.

Midlothian District 

Wendy McIndoe Austin  

Wendy McIndoe Austin serves as the current chair and was appointed to the committee in January 2008 by the Hon. Daniel A. Gecker and reappointed in January 2016 by the Hon. Leslie Haley. Ms. Austin is the Executive Director for the Friends of the Lower Appomattox River as well as a marketing and management consultant specializing in community-based organizations. She is an active community volunteer and serves on the executive committee of several volunteer boards.
