Lou Lassiter, Assistant County Administrator for Administration and Government Affairs
Lou Lassiter is Chesterfield County's Assistant County Administrator for Administration and Government Affairs. Previously he served as the Internal Audit Director for Chesterfield County from 1992-2010. He is a 1983 graduate of James Madison University and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Government Financial Manager.
As Assistant County Administrator, he is the primary liaison to the Board of Supervisors and coordinates the day-to-day administration of the County Administrator's Office. Mr. Lassiter has oversight responsibility for Legislative Affairs/Intergovernmental Relations, Clerk to the Board's Office, the Center for Organizational Excellence, as well as staff to the Committee on the Future and James River Advisory Council.
Mr. Lassiter is a past president of the Virginia Local Government Auditors Association. He also served on the board for the Association of Local Government Auditors, a national organization representing local government auditing. He is a graduate of Chesterfield County's TQI University and through his work demonstrates a commitment to quality, continuous improvement and customer service.
