Lou Lassiter, Deputy County Administrator for Finance and Administration
Lou Lassiter is Chesterfield County's Deputy County Administrator for Finance and Administration. Previously he served as the Internal Audit Director and Assistant County Administrator for Chesterfield County. He holds a Master of Arts (M.A.), in Christian Leadership Studies from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), from James Madison University. Mr. Lassiter is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Government Financial Manager among other professional affiliations.
As Deputy County Administrator, he supervises and coordinates the operations of the County Administrator’s Office, and the Clerk to the Board of Supervisor’s Office to ensure integrated support and interaction with the County Administrator, Board of Supervisors, employees and residents of the County. Provides strategic direction & supervision to major county functions such as; Intergovernmental Relations, Learning and Performance Center, Communications and Media and Finance (Accounting, Budget & Mgt., License Inspection, Purchasing, Real Estate Assessment). Coordinates special events and serves as Liaison with the Committee on the Future.
Mr. Lassiter is a past president of the Virginia Local Government Auditors Association. He also served on the board for the Association of Local Government Auditors, a national organization representing local government auditing. He has attended the Senior Executive Institute at the University of Virginia and serves the community and his church in a variety of volunteer capacities.
