Lou Lassiter, Assistant County Administrator for Administration and Government Affairs
Lou Lassiter is Chesterfield County's Assistant County Administrator for Administration and Government Affairs. Previously he served as the Internal Audit Director for Chesterfield County from 1992-2010. He holds a Master of Arts (M.A.), in Christian Leadership Studies from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), from James Madison University. Mr. Lassiter is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Government Financial Manager among other professional affiliations.
As Assistant County Administrator, he is the primary liaison to the Board of Supervisors and coordinates the day-to-day administration of the County Administrator's Office. Mr. Lassiter has oversight responsibility for Legislative Affairs/Intergovernmental Relations, Clerk to the Board's Office, the Learning and Performance Center, Department of Communications and Media as well as staff to the Committee on the Future and James River Advisory Council.
Mr. Lassiter is a past president of the Virginia Local Government Auditors Association. He also served on the board for the Association of Local Government Auditors, a national organization representing local government auditing. He has attended the Senior Executive Institute at the University of Virginia and serves the community and his church in a variety of volunteer capacities. He is a graduate of the Chesterfield County's TQI University and through his work demonstrates a commitment to quality, continuous improvement and customer service.
