Board of Supervisors

Chesterfield County is governed by a five-member Board of Supervisors elected by district. The Board of Supervisors appoints a county administrator who directs the county's day-to-day operations. Mr. James J.L. Stegmaier was appointed County Administrator effective August 14, 2007. The Board adopted a budget for FY2007 totaling $1.1 billion, which includes a general fund budget of $663,296,500 and $560,024,800 for schools.  The two largest components of the budget are the county’s general fund and school fund.
