Sale of Surplus Property 

Currently, all surplus property other than vehicles is sold through GovDeals, an internet based auction sales firm. The internet address is www.govdeals.com. Items sold by Chesterfield County can be located by doing an advanced search by seller.

Sale of Surplus Vehicles  

Chesterfield County and Chesterfield County School vehicles that are removed from service and declared surplus are sold through Southside Virginia Auto Auction (SVAA). SVAA is located at the intersection of West Hundred Road (State Route 10) and Jefferson Davis Highway (Route 1 & 301) in Chester, VA. SVAA conducts two auctions weekly and any Chesterfield County vehicles would be sold at the Thursday night auction.

Sale of Surplus Buses 

School buses taken out of service will be sold through sealed Invitation for Bids conducted by Chesterfield County.
