Chesterfield Quality System – Supporting High Performance

Chesterfield County continuously works to improve public services. Efforts include developing a countywide strategic plan; gaining input from citizens, businesses and other partners through surveys and other feedback mechanisms; developing a comprehensive system to measure performance; training employees in quality-related skills; and developing a program to manage quality efforts. That program is called the Chesterfield Quality System – Supporting High Performance.

What the Chesterfield Quality System should mean to customers is assurance that county employees at all levels of the organization are committed to innovation and decision-making that is based on solid information and focused on results that will benefit customers. It means that Chesterfield County is committed to providing public services that are effective and delivered both efficiently and economically.

By using the Malcomb Baldrige National Quality Program criteria, Chesterfield County is able to measure itself against the highest quality standards available.
