Purchasing - Current Solicitations

All bids and proposals are due in the Purchasing Department Office, 9901 Lori Road, Lane B. Ramsey Building, 3rd Floor, Room 303, Chesterfield, Virginia 23832 until, but no later than the time and date listed. In the event that Chesterfield County government offices are closed due to inclement weather and/or emergency situations at the time set aside for a pre-bid meeting and/or the published bid opening or for a pre-proposal meeting and/or receipt of proposals, the pre-bid meeting, pre-proposal meeting and/or published due date will default to the next open business day at the same time.

Solicitations that are listed as an "RFQ" (Request for Quote) or "Informal RFP" are considered Informal. For these two categories, §2.2-4303, Paragraph G of the Code of Virginia requires the direct solicitation of four Bidders/Offerors. After reviewing the solicitation, Bidders/Offerors may download a copy and submit a response by the due date and time listed in the solicitation. These solicitations may be posted for less than 10 days.

IFBs, RFPs, RFQs & Informal RFPs (Solicitations) are provided online in PDF format for viewing or for download:  

  • If the solicitation is underlined (hyperlinked,) interested Bidders/Offerors may click on the solicitation number to obtain a copy by using the free Adobe® Acrobat® Reader which allows you to view and print PDF files.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on March 21, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Falling Creek Middle School Auditorium, 4724 Hopkins Road, Chesterfield, VA 23234. Attendance is encouraged; however, it is not mandatory in order for your bid to be considered for award. *NOTE: Bidders shall be required to sign in at the front office and obtain a visitor’s badge, and sign out at the conclusion of the pre-bid conference/site visit. Attendance at this pre-bid conference is mandatory in order for your bid to be considered for award. If you do not attend, your bid will not be considered. The pre-bid conference will immediately be followed by MANDATORY site visits to each school. It is expected that the site visits may require up to two days to complete.
