Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers, Inc. is a community-involvement program to help stop crime in its tracks. Crime Solvers' reason for existing is to gather the clues that law enforcement agencies need to solve crimes. By offering cash rewards and providing a number to call with information relating to any crime. Crime Solvers encourages local citizens to provide clues that can be vital in the successful solution of a crime. Crime Solvers programs have been highly successful in reducing the crime rate in literally thousands of other American localities.

What is Crime Solvers?
Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers Inc. was founded in 1984 as an anonymous means for citizens to assist law-enforcement agencies. Crime Solvers is a collaborative effort among local business people, law-enforcement officials, the media and citizens. Crime Solvers provides a hot line, 748-0660, that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to call with tips relating to any criminal activity. Callers are not required to provide names or make appearances in court. Crime Solvers encourages citizens to provide tips that could be vital to solving crimes and will pay cash rewards of up to $1,000.00 for those tips.

How Does Crime Solvers Work?
Any person with knowledge of a crime may call the Crime Solvers hot line at 748-0660 to provide information that may be useful in solving a crime. Callers are given code numbers to be used as their identities. They are not asked for their names, or to testify in court, nor do they have to provide personal information or immigration status. Callers are advised to call back at later dates, using only their code numbers, to learn if their tips have helped solve crimes. If a caller's information has led to solving a crime and a suspect being arrested, or led to the recovery of stolen property or illegal drugs, the caller may receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
