Girls SoftballChesterfield County Parks and Recreation department provides recreational opportunities to nearly 30,000 youth throughout the year. Programs are taught in a variety of areas. A complete listing of the current youth athletic programs being offered can be found at Youth Sports Leagues (PDF document, requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print.)

With the help of youth athletic leagues and associations, the county offers a diverse range of team play, both recreational and competitive, that helps build character and skills to last a lifetime. For more information on signing up for league play, see list below.

Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation Department classes, camps and most co-sponsored leagues are open to all participants, regardless of residence status. However those who do not reside in Chesterfield County are expected to pay a $15 non-resident fee upon registration.

Leagues and Associations

Youth sport leagues in Chesterfield County are operated through both athletic associations, generally defined by school district lines, and privately-operated youth sport organizations. Youth sports require registration through the individual league or association.

Athletic Associations offer sports to youth in the elementary school district for which they are named. Athletic associations may offer sports teams in football, cheering, basketball, softball, baseball and lacrosse.

Organizations are required to submit a complete roster of participants to Parks and Recreation.  We provide a template of this roster as well as instructions on how to complete the roster.  Please be sure that you are using the youth roster form.  For the adult roster form and instructions, please visit our adult sports page.  The roster is in spreadsheet form, and Microsoft Excel or a compatible application is required.  Please email completed rosters to Paul Wilmoth at wilmothp@chesterfield.gov.
