Collections
Bulky Waste Collection
This service is scheduled through our customer service representatives at 748-1297 and is available to all county residents. This service is provided as a convenience to our citizens and there is a nominal fee. Items collected in this program include appliances, furniture, brush, general residential trash and lawn mowers. Guidelines for Bulky Waste Collection:
Acceptable Items:
- Appliances - refrigerators, stoves, hot water tanks, washers and dryers, window size air conditioners, freezers
- Furniture - sofas, chairs, televisions, etc.
- Brush - limbs from shrubbery and trees, etc. Nothing larger than 8 inches in diameter or 8 feet in length
- Lawn mowers and automotive parts. NOTE: All fluids must be drained from engines.
Unacceptable Items:
- Leaves and/or grass clippings. The county offers a separate yard waste collection program. For more information, call the Waste and Resource Recovery Division office at 748-1297.
- Stumps
- Free liquids such as paints, pesticides, herbicides or other household hazardous waste.
Scheduling Collection and Payment:
- $50 per bulky visit/load
- $100 for brush per visit/load
Billing will occur after the service has been completed. Make checks payable and mail to:
