Mental Health Support Services
Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid teaches a 5-step action plan to offer initial help to people with the signs and symptoms of a mental illness or a crisis, and connect them with the appropriate professional, peer, social, or self-help care.

Courses

  • Adult Mental Health First Aid offers help to adults that are in an emotional or mental crisis 
  • Youth Mental Health First Aid focused on assisting youth ages 12-18  

Who can take these classes?

Any Chesterfield County resident or employee can take the 8 – hour course; first responders, students, teachers, leaders of faith communities, human resources professionals and caring citizens. 

What is the cost for the courses?

There is a $25 course fee for Chesterfield County citizens.
