Chesterfield County Public Library

We are glad to be sharing story time with you!

Preschool Story Time:

• introduces children to reading through stories
• begins children's appreciation of art through illustrations
• develops children’s language and listening skills
• stimulates children’s imagination
• creates a special bond between parent and child
• models reading aloud for families

Please honor our divisions as described below and help every child develop through story time activities. Your choices of story times are:

Baby–Babies 12-23 months old must be accompanied by their caregivers.
Two Years–Children must have had their second birthday.
Three to Five Years–Children aged 3-5 are the special audience for this story time.
Family–All interested children are welcome.

Storytellers realize that we all have bad days, so don’t hesitate to leave if a child is not interested in the program on a particular day. Try again next time!

If we can help you find books, or if you have any questions, concerns or suggestions, please talk to your storyteller or to a library staff member.
