Juvenile Detention Home

Mental Health Support Services

Mental Health Support Services staff assigned to the Chesterfield Juvenile Detention Home include a senior mental health clinician and a case manager. Services provided by the mental health clinician are crisis intervention, behavioral and coping skills, intervention for youths and staff training to assist with meeting the needs of youths. Case managers link detained youths and families with community resources and outside agencies that work with detained youths. Case managers also coordinate services with outside agencies that may be involved in a particular youth’s case.

Mental-health staff may be reached Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5p.m., at (804) 706-2746.
