Dual Treatment Track

The Dual Treatment Track is a post-booking jail diversion option for dually diagnosed incarcerated offenders in Chesterfield County and the City of Colonial Heights. By diverting offenders with co-occurring disorders from jail to a pretrial community supervision program, the Dual Treatment Track ensures safety to the community with intensive supervision while the offender is participating in an integrated treatment program for people with co-occurring disorders. This program will serve clients by utilizing and bridging local resources such as the Chesterfield Community Services Board and Community Corrections’ Pretrial Services.  A coordinated community response will provide an appropriate and comprehensive treatment approach benefiting this under-served population, the Court(s), and the community.
A dual treatment approach can facilitate the willing participant in addressing his/her specific needs and potentially becoming self-sufficient and a productive member of the community. A variety of services will be used in a specific arrangement to address the participants’ needs as they stabilize and progress through the addiction-recovery process including:

  • Intensive Supervision
  • Mental Health Education
  • Substance Abuse Education and Treatment
  • Coping Skills Development
  • Employment Skill Training
  • Psychiatric Care
  • Random Drug/Alcohol Testing

The goal of this program is to assist people in learning to manage their special needs and addressing their obligations to the community.  DTT strives to assist individuals in improving quality of life while ensuring community safety.
