Emergency Management LogoThe Chesterfield Emergency Planning Committee is authorized to function under the Superfund Amendment and Reauthorization Act of 1986.  Its purpose is for the community to work with first responders, to create a working plan that outlines emergency response to natural disasters and hazardous materials situations and to coordinate the Community's Right-to-Know Act. 

Tier II Chemical Inventory Reports  

Facilities covered by the Emergency Planning Committee……Reports can be emailed to Sherri Laffoon at laffoons@chesterfield.gov in the Tier II Submit format with the .t2s file extension. A hard copy is not required. A copy does not have to be mailed to the CEPC and fire station as both will have the information accessible to them. If you must mail the information, send to the attention of Sherri Laffoon at Chesterfield Fire & EMS P. O. Box 40, Chesterfield, VA 23832.

Reporting forms and instructions for use of those forms can be found on the US Environmental Protection Agency’s website.

Separate reporting requirements for the Commonwealth of Virginia can be found on the VDEQ website.

Chesterfield Emergency Planning Committee (CEPC) 

The Chesterfield Emergency Planning Committee (CEPC) meets on the first Thursday of each month with the exception of July and August. Meetings are held at the Community Development Building 9800 Government Center Pkwy. at 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise advised. Committee representation includes elected state or local officials, law enforcement, fire department, emergency management, health, local environmental, hospital, broadcast or print media, community groups, and facilities subject to the requirements of SARA Title III.
