Inspections
Administrative policy 19.01 of the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s
Office policy manual requires staff and line inspections. Staff inspections
are conducted by the Chief Inspector and designated staff in accordance
with the following schedule:
- All divisions/office/units – every three years
Unscheduled staff inspections may also be conducted at the request of
the Sheriff or Lieutenant Colonel.
Each officer in charge of a division, area or unit, or his/her designee,
shall conduct a line inspection of his/her area of responsibility. This
inspection shall be conducted approximately 18 months after their staff
inspection.
