million
Five new schools, including a replacement for Clover Hill High
School, two elementary schools and two middle schools; 13 renovation
or addition projects; and major maintenance projects are planned.
The total funding for schools is $269.8 million, including $231.2
million from bond funds and $38.6 million from other funding sources.
An additional $34.8 million of capital reserve will be used to
support technology for classrooms and to support student performance
throughout the school division. School projects include:
- Two new elementary schools – one in the Bermuda area
and one in the 360 west area
- Two new middle schools – one in the Clover Hill/Midlothian
area and one in the Bermuda area
- A replacement for Clover Hill High School
- An addition to L.C. Bird High School
- Renovations and additions to Midlothian High School
- Renovations/additions at Bellwood, Bon Air, Ecoff, Falling
Creek, Gates and Watkins elementary schools
- Renovations/additions at Falling Creek, Midlothian, Robious,
Salem Church and Swift Creek middle schools
- Major maintenance projects at various schools
