2004 Bond Referendum

Public Safety - $15.3 million

About $25 million is planned for public-safety projects, including two new fire and rescue stations and the completion of the Enon public-safety training facility. As a result of this bond referendum, live fire training and rescue simulators would be installed, the vehicle driving range completed and facilities for classrooms added. The public-safety plan includes $15.3 million in bond funds and $9.8 million in contributions from other funding sources. The planned projects include:

  • Two new fire and rescue stations – one in the Route 1 and Harrowgate Road area and one near the intersection of Courthouse Road and Route 288
  • Completion of the Public Safety Training Center at Enon
