Chester House & Employment ServicesChester House is a clubhouse for adults who have experienced serious and persistent mental illness. Members contribute in meaningful ways to the community and clubhouse through various programs. Day ProgramMembers and staff work together to operate the clubhouse. The emphasis of the day program is on "work adjustment" or learning of general work skills. For some, coming to Chester House might lead to a job; for others, it provides a sense of purpose each day. The clubhouse is a setting where members are needed, wanted and expected.
Employment ServicesMembers interested in joining or returning to the workplace have many options available. In partnership with the Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services (DRS), we provide career counseling, job search assistance, on-the-job training, long-term follow-along and employment intervention services.
