Crisis Intervention

The Chesterfield Crisis Intervention Team is a 24-hour emergency mental health program for citizens of Chesterfield County. 24-HOUR EMERGENCY  (804) 748-6356

The Crisis Staff are specialists trained in the assessment of acute mental health problems and short-term counseling.  They resolve presenting issues to prevent the situation from worsening.  They also evaluate individuals being considered. 

Crisis Staff refers individuals to the appropriate program for treatment services that best meet the person's needs.


Critical Incident Stress Debriefing

The Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) Team is available 24-hours a day to public safety personnel, such as firefighters, rescue squad members, and police officers, following a particularly stressful incident.

This step-by-step debriefing process assists individuals in dealing with the situation.  CISD services are also available to local businesses and industry following incidents such as robberies and industrial accidents.


Forensic Services

A forensic psychologist is available to provide services to our courts, attorneys, inmates and staff of the Chesterfield County Jail.
