Liu-Jen Chu was appointed to the committee in April 2006 by the Honorable Arthur S. Warren. Mrs. Chu, a bio-chemist by profession, is part owner of an agricultural laboratory in Chesterfield County. She is a community advocate including leadership of the Asian-American Society of Central Virginia. |

Dorothy Hudson was appointed to the committee in September 2006 by the Honorable Arthur S. Warren. Mrs. Hudson retired as a customer service manager in the corrugated industry. As a long-time resident of Chesterfield County, she is active in community activities. |

Thomas B. Owens was appointed in February 2007 by the Honorable Kelly E. Miller; reappointed in February 2008 by the Honorable James “Jim” Holland. Mr. Owens, now retired, was the public affairs officer at Defense Supply Center Richmond. He is A long-time active resident of Chesterfield County and works for the Virginia Senate during its sessions. |

Andrea P. Brown was appointed to the committee in February 2008 by the Honorable James “Jim” Holland. Ms. Brown is library manager for the Glen Allen branch Henrico County library. She is involved in Friends of Chesterfield County Public Libraries, state associations and community activities. |

Edward L. DeGennaro, the current chairman, was appointed to the committee in January 2000 by the Honorable Kelly E. Miller and represented the Dale District for eight years. He was reappointed in January 2008 by the Honorable Marleen K. Durfee. Mr. DeGennaro, now retired, was dean of the School of Health Sciences at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. He is a private consultant to the optical industry. |

Dr. James F. McClellan was appointed to the committee in April 2006 by the Honorable Renny S. Humphrey and reappointed to the committee in January 2008 by the Honorable Marleen K. Durfee. Dr. McClellan is retired from Virginia State University as Distinguished Professor Emeritus. He is active in many county and Matoaca community organizations. |

Dianne L. Mallory serves as the current vice-chairman. She was appointed to the committee in April 2006 and reappointed in January 2008 by the Honorable Daniel A. Gecker. Ms. Mallory is a resource development specialist and grant manager with the Virginia Department of Social Services. She is active with state and local education advisory committees and a facilitator for non-profit corporations. |

Wendy McIndoe Austin was appointed to the committee in January 2008 by the Honorable Daniel A. Gecker. Ms. Austin is program coordinator for Connect Network, an Internet-based capacity building tool to target change at the local level. She is active in the community and serves as a court-appointed special advocate. |
