Adult Substance Use Services

Do you or someone you know struggle with opiate use, alcohol use or any other substance use?

Wednesdays (6-7:30 p.m.)

Our Services  

Outpatient Services

We offer our trauma informed services which include

  • individual
  • group
  • case management
  • peer supports
  • family and friends support group
  • family counseling
  • peer support services
  • intensive outpatient services (IOP) - minimum of 9 hours a week 

Most individuals served have

  • a co-occurring (mental health and substance use) disorder
  • experienced trauma 

We provide

  • psychiatric services to eligible individuals
  • child minding and transportation to decrease obstacles in treatment participation (during hours and will vary based on need)
  • peer specialists (persons with lived experience) are available for additional support on the recovery journey. 

Women's Services

We offer specialized, evidence-based, co-occurring, trauma informed outpatient substance abuse treatment programming for women and their families.

Our priorities are

  • pregnant women who are using substances
    • due to concerns for the mother and baby.
  • postpartum women
    • including women with substance exposed infants
  • mothers with children 

Peer specialists are available for additional support. 

Opiate Services

Treatment options include outpatient and women’s services listed above.  We also

  • assist with payment for medication assisted treatment, including Methadone and Suboxone,contracting with private vendors. 
  • provide medication assisted treatment on site only for the prescribing of Suboxone

NOTE: Individuals must qualify for these services and be involved in recommended treatment services. 

REVIVE: Prevent fatal overdoses

Detoxification and Residential Treatment

We contract with vendors for that level of care.

Jail and Jail Diversion Services

Individuals in Chesterfield County jail are

  • offered treatment, including therapy and medication, to assist in addressing mental health and substance use issues
  • assisted with discharge planning to connect them with services in the community to maintain the progress made while incarcerated

Jail Diversion is available through our Drug Court program and Dual Treatment Track program. 

Who can get services with Adult Substance Use Services?

  • Adults over age 18
  • Families
  • Other support people

Priority populations include: 

  • pregnant women
  • opiate users
  • persons with HIV+/Aids
  • women with children

How are services paid for?

  • We accept most major forms of insurance. 
  • If you don’t have insurance, we also offer services using our sliding fee schedule based on your ability to pay.

How do I make an appointment?

  • It all starts with our Same Day Access.
  • Just walk in during business hours and you will be seen the same day for a full clinical assessment.

Monday: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Tuesday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m.– 2 p.m.

  • You will leave with the name of your provider and your next scheduled appointment.
